Background George Mason University developed a performance support tool for their client the Defense Acquisition University (DAU), a federal government “corporate” university. The tool, called LATIST, helps DAU faculty and staff integrate Advanced Learning Technologies (ALT) such as social media, mobile technologies, games, simulations, and virtual worlds, into their online and technology supported course designs. The DAU offers more than 1,500 courses.
Problem Product creators needed a way to quickly explain the new tool and increase staff interest in and excitement about it.
Solution Create two short videos. One to give a quick overview of LATIST, another to briefly explain LASIST’s three components. Place both on the LATIST home page as a starting point to understand LATIST. Visit the award-wining LATIST prototype and see the two In-Brief videos.
Client Review “In-Brief Videos did an excellent job developing a short yet catchy and informative video. Mary Kay did a super job from start to finish, working with our team on video narratives, storyboarding, timeline, etc. The process was very smooth and professional and the videos were a hit!!” Dr. Nada Dabbagh, Associate Professor, Instructional Technology Program, George Mason University
